I was drawn to this book because of the cover. I have two labs myself and seeing that beautiful pup on the cover pulled me in like a moth to a flame. Then I read the synopsis and I knew I had to give this story more than just a glance. In the short preview that I was allowed to read, I found myself in the midst of tears more than once. I am already invested in learning more about the narrator and the dogs that helped guide her through life. I think this will be a poignant and thought-provoking story. This quote really stood out to me: ‘...the magic of dogs is not that their love for us is unconditional. What’s unconditional is the love that we have for them.’ This is a book I will pick up regardless, but I would love to win a copy.
