Very simplistic writing style but that's not a bad thing for a novel like this. Each dog's story has its own chapter. I like the idea of reminiscing about multiple pets, and can relate to the themes. In my experience animals are like people in their very unique personalities. This would probably be a tearjerking read and this sample is a good start.
