A miller's daughter is cursed by Wyrdith, god of lies, but is there more to the lies and stories she tells?

This book is a fun story that holds its own stories within. Serilda spins stories so beautifully with craft and as you read on, you start to realize that there is more to her stories than what meets the eye. I loved reading the stories and discovering that the story was indeed what I thought it was.

I love Marissa Meyer's writing, the details and building of the world beyond the veil were amazing. I was eager to discover the secrets of the castle just as much as Serilda. And like Serilda, I found myself falling for Gild, the poor trapped boy both blessed and cursed.

The Erlking is certainly a villain, but I can't help but finding myself liking him as well. He's merciless and cruel, but beautiful and powerful. I'm excited to read more of him and his plans in the next book. Even if I do like him, I do hope for the best with Serilda and Gild, as well as for the ghosts trapped in the castle.

If you love a good fairytale retelling with a little bit of romance, mystery and interesting creatures, then I highly recommend this one!
