I have been a fan of Marissa Meyer since she published her Lunar Chronicles, so I have been excited for this upcoming title; and the bit I have read does not disappoint. Meyer's writing style has a way of making me feel emotionally attached to the main characters.

Serilda, the MC, is seen as a liar, a trickster, and even a thief; but readers are able to understand her from a different point of view as the story is told from her perspective. There is a reason for all the stories she has spun for her entire life. However, she is like the boy who cried wolf. After telling so many stories, nobody will believe her when one of those stories is no longer fiction but an actual truth. Because everyone sees her as a girl who tells stories, that's what she continues to do, even when facing down the evil villain practically come to life from her stories. I am eager to see where Serilda's storytelling takes her as I am sure that those lies and embellishments are going to catch up with her.
