The cover: I really loved this cover! It reminds me of a gilded cage of sorts, covering over the golden village below. Very symbolic and haunting, creates a sense of imagery before even opening the cover.
The first look overall: I really like the way in which the author writes, as well as creates an "accent" for the time period that is created here. The language and imagery are quite detailed, which is an aspect that really gets me interested in a fantasy debut. Overall looks very promising, can't wait to read!
