I am a huge fan of Marissa Meyer’s novels and was very excited to read the sneak peek of her newest story, Gilded. Safe to say I was not disappointed! The story captivated me from the very first page. This is a reimagining of the classic tale Rumpelstiltskin that takes place in a fantastical world in Germany. The main character, Serilda, spins wild tales that enchant some of those who hear them, but also causes other townspeople to fear and mistrust her. The world that Marissa Meyer crafts in this novel is enchanting and beautiful. I cannot wait to read more of the novel to find out what befalls Serilda and where her journey takes her. The cover of this novel is also so stunning! I cannot wait to read the rest of this book!
