I love fantasy books. I love reading about fairies, and hellhounds, and mysterious forests. The best authors can describe these fantastical creatures with such detail, that the reader can picture these creatures in their head.
That’s exactly what Marissa Meyer has done in “Gilded.” I could picture each creature that was written about in the first few chapters. Those details can fully immerse a reader into a magical world. On top of that, my heart was racing at multiple parts in the first few chapters- the suspense kept me turning page after page. Overall I’m looking forward to reading this adaption of a long-loved fairytale.
