The master of fairytale retellings has a new book? Ah!! I’m so excited. A Rumpelstiltskin retelling is going to be so fun, and ew-la-la, a mysterious boy? Could this be a possible romance? I can’t wait!
The cover is so cool with a crown chandelier atop a castle. And as always her words just suck you in- “All magic comes at a price but love wasn’t part of the bargain.”
I wonder if Marissa based Serilda off herself because she also has “a talent for spinning stories that are fantastical and spellbinding.”
Serilda is such a unique name and it sounds like she is being swept off to a ghost town which would make this the perfect October book.
I also love knowing this castle has secrets and I want to find them out ASAP.
As always, Marissa Meyer creates a world that just sucks you in. From the first page you just want to keep reading. I love her style of writing and the way she does world-building and characterization. I also love how her writing isn’t super complicated and doesn’t make you think too hard. A sneak peak wasn’t enough. I need more!
