I always love a good first line and we immediately meet this "witch" character who sounds fascinating.
I'm intrigued by the story so far but don't fully love the dialogue. I haven't read Meyer's other work so not sure if it is just due to her style, the YA audience, or what. It isn't enough to turn me off but gave me a bit of pause reading through it.
