As with all Marissa Meyer's novels, I am entranced. As a lover of fairy tales, especially of the fractured type, I have been anxiously awaiting the release of her newest one centered on the tale of Rumpelstiltskin. With a dark tone and mesmerizing imagery, I am so excited to see where the tale goes with its extra dollops of fantasy, night hunts, walking dead, and a lie that could lead to death. The protagonist's, Serilda's, spitfire attitude, golden eyes, and her love for creating stories may make her a new favorite character!
