Gilded. This title has been spreading like wildfire throughout the BookTube and BookTok communities. I have found myself getting swept up into the excitement as well! I really like the premise of this novel, but have my doubts as to how well Marissa Meyer can pull it off.
Marissa Meyer has a string of hits on her resume and gained popularity with the whole of the YA community. Her worlds are vivid and characters their own. On the other side of the haystack, though, Marissa has many weak points in her writing style.
Rumplestiltskin is an odd fairytale and it is very ambitious to take it on. However, it has the potential to be readapted well... and readapted poorly.
