Gilded was an intriguing look into Marissa Meyer’s new book! I love the story of Rumpelstiltskin, so I immediately jumped at the chance to read this extended sampler. The world within is magical and dangerous. It follows Serilda as she gains a reputation for a storyteller. The only problem is, no one believes her when she meets the Erlking one night. Serilda is in deep trouble when put to the test about whether she can truly spin straw into gold. I was very interested to see what would happen next with the boy she summoned! This story seems like it draws on classic aspects of well-known fairytales, but with an attention to detail and characters that can only come from Marissa Meyer. I will definitely look forward to Gilded releasing this fall!
