This book starts off with a lovely, casual tone, from Serilda's point of view, which drew me immediately to her side. I'm pretty sure I'll be rooting for her against anything and everything she will come up against. The atmosphere is illustrated deftly - I feel like I am in the woods in the middle of winter, feeling the chill along with the characters. While this book is YA, it is already delving into deep themes of honesty and trust. I can tell it will be an exciting read!
