I’m a sucker for a pretty book cover and this one put me in a chokehold. And then to top it off it’s a fairytale retelling?! I’m sold.

Serilda already seems like she’s going to be a riot. The village likes to call her a liar, but I think she’s perfectly imaginative. Her stories were actually really interesting, and it’ll be fun to see what more trouble she gets herself into. Seeing as she’s already done quite a number in just these few chapters.

Maybe I’m just a liiiiittle bit toxic, but I’m already obsessed with The Erlking. I mean… who can resist a villain(?) that’s dark, brooding, and kind of a jerk? Matched against Serilda’s charming personality, I can already tell sparks will fly. Despite the heavy amount of world building, I felt like the chapters flew by and was so sad to reach the end. I cannot wait to see what happens next!!! I’ll be thinking about it nonstop until I get my hands on this book.
