I’ve yet to meet a Marissa Meyer book that I haven’t loved, and Gilded is no exception. Her world building is done without heaps of exposition and her characters are fully fleshed and alive. I never had much interest in the Rumpelstiltskin story as a child but seeing it as a fantasy from the viewpoint of a storytelling liar is imaginative.
