A well-written, fast paced, hard-boiled crime thriller with a great plot and excellent character development. Freddy is tough and complicated. He can be dark and hard but at the same time he can also be tender and caring. He rarely drinks and does not get his courage from a bottle. He is investigating a horrendous plane crash. Freddy thinks that one passenger never boarded the plane and may be alive somewhere. Where is she hiding and why? Full of secrets, lies, action and suspense. I couldn’t put it down just waiting for the next twist. We have crooked cops, crooked politicians, drugs, money laundering, fake businesses, murder, and maybe even terrorism. ‘Gate 76’ is well worth the read and I look forward to reading more from Andrew Diamond in the future.
