I enjoyed reading this book, but did not find it to be anything special or anything super unexpected/unique.
I did find myself quickly captivated and enthralled with the story line which must be a testament to the author's writing ability which is definitely above average.
The further I read, though, the less committed and engaged I felt which was a bit disappointing, but I still felt compelled to read all the way to the end so that says something (although I am also not one to abandoned a book/project half-way through).
I am curious if there will be more books written about the character of Freddy since it seems as though this could definitely lead into a series of standalone adventure/mystery novels.
