I loved the conversational writing. Easy sentences to invite the reader in. I like the description of the main character, seems like someone you would like to know, honest and thinking of that past life he left. The mysterious woman is drawing you in, something to hide someone trying to force her fate. The narrator and her eyes meet, there's something brewing and you know they will meet again. The mysterious man pushing her to his desired destination with her bruised wrist and frightened eyes Yet, she's clever and has a plan of her own. When you hear the plane she was suppose to board went down, and the mystery deepens, and what's in Chicago?
