I was intrigued from the start by the cover. As a former flight attendant I was drawn to the plane, possibly a plane crash story. However, as I started reading I became very curious about the main character. His voice sounded like that of a street hardened Rocky Balboa type so it was no surprise to find out he was a former boxer turned some sort of law enforcement agent. The stream of consciousness style of writing had me slowly building curiosity about the woman, almost in real time, making this story unfold and draw me in by the end of the sample. I can't wait to read more and find out who this woman is, and why someone wants her dead!
