"All that glitters can be cursed."

Marlow Briggs, the best cursebreaker in all of Curaza City, pretends to date her former friend, Adrius Falcrest, to help him break his curse. While she tries to fake her relationship with Adrius to find out who had cursed him, she also uses the opportunity to find out what had happened to her mother who had vanished from her life. Because his curse might be connected to her mother's disappearance. The further the case takes her, the more enemies she starts to collect, and deadly secrets start to unravel to shocking truths.

"The trick to pulling off a con is that some part of you has to believe it, too. Just enough to make it real -- but not so much to forget yourself."

I loved this book and the characters in it! Very enjoyable with lots of edge-of-your-seat, twisy mystery that had me turning page after page. The plot and pacing was perfect. And the romance was a nice slowburn. I also loved the cursed cards magic system. I though that was very unique.

I'm just dying now for the next book in the duology!
