A curse breaker searching for her mother and a boy who’s been cursed fake date each other while trying to break the curse. They get caught in a whirlwind mystery, one much larger than they’d anticipated.
The cover to this book is beautiful, it definitely drew me in and is hard to stop admiring!
As for the book itself, I loved it! It was definitely hard to put down and I’d made the mistake of reading it on break at work and it was hard to pull myself out of the world and return to the real one.
Marlow is a fantastic main character, one who draws you in and you feel for her and don’t want to stop adventuring with. I love her name as well. It’s definitely catching.
Adrius intrigued me as well, like Marlow, you get caught in him and it can be hard to pull back. For who he is, I definitely found his curse pretty ironic, which I loved.
If you want to be pulled into an intriguing fantasy world with curses, mystery and more, I highly recommend picking this beauty up! It’s an incredible start to a duology and I’m incredibly eager for the second book! Can’t wait to see how the next cover looks too!
