I can’t wait to read more of this story! The magic system is fascinating, the introduction of the the mystery of where Marlow’s mom went, the mystery woman with the tattoo, the tension between Adrius and Marlow. I wish this excerpt were longer, if only to see how Adrius proposes the investigation to Marlow!
