I liked the style of writing in this book, although I felt a little confused at the setting and the characters. This book reads almost as if it was part of a series, due to the fact that I got the sense I should already know the connections between characters and the backstory of the world. Overall, I liked it and would recommend to fantasy and young adult readers.
