I was first pulled into this book because of the excellent world-building. The descriptions and metaphors provided a detailed image without being overly-dramatic. Us as readers are launched right into the heart of the plot almost immediately, leaving us to decipher and interpret for ourselves what the series of events are, leaving behind a compelling web of mysteries and secrets, one that I cannot wait to untangle.
