Okay all I have to say is WHAT?! I loved this little graphic novel. Claribel Ortega has a way of writing stories that make you feel like you are reading a Disney movie script. I really enjoyed this story and I am glad it is in the form of a graphic novel. In this graphic novel, our main character struggles with being bullied and feeling as though she needs to act a certain way and look a certain way to please those around her. I think this story is a great way at showing the differences between people and their ethnicities and explains that we need to be who we are and not be afraid of that. Be confident in who you are and where you come from. If you are happy than thats all that matters. I also have to mention that the illustrations in this graphic novel were so colorful and made you happy just by looking at them. They definitely enhance the reading experience!
