As a mother of daughters with natural hair and a step-mother of biracial children, this book was much needed. The representation was spot on and the cover is so cute. I really enjoyed reading this book and I am not that big of a fan of middle grade or children's books. My youngest daughter also read it but she did not like it as much as I did as it is not a book that she would normally want ro read. My oldest daughter liked it as much as I did and did agree that the cover was perfect. She thought that the girl on the cover was super cute just as I did. I would definitely recommend this book for girls who love their natural hair and want to see them represented in books. We need more diverse books for children so that they can see themselves in books and would want to read them since they probably could relate to it and connect with the characters. This book is much needed.
