Since doing a huge deep dive into my own racial biases and how the world really is, I've been trying to do more by continually educating myself. This book seems like it will be touching upon topics like natural hair and discourse about that, especially how natural hair is treated in schools and professional settings. The book is also very unapologetic about where it will stand in the end. The girl on the cover stands strong with her hair being what it wants to do.
