My heart broke a little when she thought she was ugly. Beauty shouldn't be the only thing that is put onto little girls. I'm sure she's also so smart and loving. The artwork is so awesome, and really puts you into the setting of the book. I so hope that she finds a way to love herself. Being ladylike is overrated.
