Young graphic novel readers will find this relatable, even if they don't have the same "frizzy" hair situation as the MC. The way the family treats the MC, being compared to other family members, and how the MC wants to be herself without making such changes is something many of us have faced while growing up. I personally don't like the art style, but others might.
