I am usually not a fan of graphic novels, but FRIZZY appears to be an exception. The graphics are fantastic. The dialogue is simple and effective in conveying the message of the book and is appropriate for a middle-grade reading level. I love the body-positive message of the book which the First Impression and Synopsis hints to and I'm sure the conclusion will include -- to embrace yourself as is, no need for salon treatments to change your look, and to not listen to others' negativity. I would buy FRIZZY to gift to a younger reader.
