I love love love love love this book! I cannot begin to describe how much I loved this story. The characters were funny and so easy to just instantly connect with, trust me, they will win your heart over. My heart went out for Frank, it was so hard to see him being in live with someone, yet never being allowed to be with them just because of race. Yes, this book deals with racism and how very high expectations can be put onto young children at too little an age.
The only really problem or issue that I had with this book that made me give it four instead of five stars, was the ending. Yes, everything was sweet and nice, but I just wish that Frank would have ended up with the white girl at the end to really show that race truly doesn’t matter in a relationship. I still love that he ends up falling for the Korean girl at the end, but I think the story would have been more effective if he ended up with the white girl.
