Poor Frank.

This cultural divide he has to hurdle seems like something that has been lost with the times but come to find out it still existed in modern times. Who knew.

So poor Frank falls in love with a girl outside his parent’s cultural expectations (she is white, he is Korean and good old mom and pop expect nothing short of a match made in heaven with a nice Korean girl. . . Not particularly my social expectations of proper parenting but hey, to each their own I guess. . . )

This was a honest novel in what must be a look into certain cultures and it had its funny moments. Maybe I just can’t get over the whole premise of why the story was wrapped around this concept that is foreign to me.

Not my cup of tea, but once again, to each their own. Maybe it was because I was born into the “land of privilege and opportunity”
