The voice of this narrator is SO GOOD. Speaking as the child of immigrants, I already see so many similarities between Frank's experience and my own. His descriptions of high school and family life are wonderfully wry and dryly funny. I love the hints of plotting given in the first couple chapters, it has me hooked and interested.
The writing style is great, the author has such a good grasp on this particular kind of teenager, and the dialogue and inner monologue sound so authentic. I love the recurring issue of the lucky numbers, how that's woven in.
