This book… I don’t even know what to say. It was one of the cutest, cheesiest romances I’ve read in a while. It had fake dating, slightly nerdy characters, and complicated family relationships. Fake dating is one of my favourite tropes, and this book completely met my expectations. At the beginning, I was rooting for Frank and Brit, but as the story progressed, I switched to team Frank and Joy.

There was a lot of bias based on race and socioeconomic status, but it just made the story more interesting.

Some parts of the story were confusing, such as the fact that neither Frank or Joy even thought of telling the people they were dating about the whole fake dating thing, or why they’re doing it. In my opinion, it just made the whole thing more messy. Also, I have no clue how Frank’s parents never found out about Brit, since Frank seems kinda bad at keeping things hidden.

Overall, this was a book I’d definitely recommend to anyone who likes fake dating and incredibly cheesy romances.
