First generation Korean-Americans experiencing the pain of living in two worlds. The world that their parents expect them to and their desire to be like others their age. Frank is a senior in HS and his parents expect him to only date Korean girls(and there aren't that many around). His sister became engaged...but not to a Korean...and was "disgraced" from the parents. Frankly in Love gives all of the angst of a teen's world with the added difficulty of wanting to please his parents...yet wanting none of their racism to make decisions for him.
