Such a cute and endearing yet important story!

This one really stole my heart from the very beginning! I loved Frank Li from page one! I love that while David Yoon presented the issues with Frank's parents he also made them oh-so-lovable! How did he do that?! In the synopsis it says they're racist! I'm really hoping they have a redemption arc in the story! I love all of the important topics that this story tackles and that the author has done in it in way that is also entertaining. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down and all that. Speaking of which- the cover is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and I don't have that compliment out lightly! This book is truly beautiful inside and out, even with the ugly truths that it confronts. Perhaps more so because of them!
