Really Enjoyed Frankly in Love
This excerpt of Frankly in Love immediately captured my attention with it's fast paced writing that gave us a look into the main character's thoughts and feelings. I enjoy learning about other narratives through books and was immediately hooked by the cultural details and complexity that the author build into this story. He does it in a way that is so relational and appealing and in such a way that I immediately found him likeable and wanted to cheer him on.
One reason I like YA fiction is that well-written YA books capture attention immediately, are often relationship focused and have a great pacing. From reading the first few chapters, I can tell that Frankly in Love checks all of these boxes for me and somehow manages to not feel like it's only meant for teenagers to read.
I love the word play with the title (given the main characters name). And the 3D effect of the wording.
I didn't want to stop reading, but the excerpt ended. A definite read for me and probably all fans of YA like The Sun is Also A Star.
