I'm not quite sure with this one yet. It's easy to read as our narrator Frank Li speaks to his audience like a close friend would. His Korean family is very traditional. He tells the story of his sister being disowned and I'm curious to hear more or if she ever reconciles with them. By the second chapter things start getting more interesting as he explains the customs among his family and the other Korean families in the area that they are friends with. Within the first few chapters we're introduced to the dynamic of race relations in East Asian families without pivoting around the issue. I'm not sure how must read this book is but I definitely need to read more to form a solid opinion.
