I grew up in a caucasion dominated home, although my father is European. But I grew up in the Southwest, an interesting mix of cultures readily at my fingertips. Friends of all different skin colors and all different personalities and backgrounds. For me, I loved seeing the different cultures and traditions of my friends. So still to this day, I like reading books, that look into that coming of age, multicultural tug-o-war. To know that not all of us maybe have different skin, different cultures, but we are all human and all have the same goals and struggles. My first peek into this novel already had me laughing from the first page and I can't wait to dive in and see what happens next.
