Frankly in Love is a hilarious trip through the early human life of Frank Li, a Korean teen living in America. Frank's parents, like many people, are racists, and this colors his world even more than his nerdiness. I love the author's use of words, like code-switching, which until I read these chapters, I only thought of as a black and white thing. Frank is very concious of how his parents are and how this comes across to his friends, especially Q, his best friend. Q delivers one of the best lines in the book stating "I picked you to be my best friend, not your parents.". You will love this book.
Please note my review is from an uncorrected early copy of Frankly in Love.
