Child of immigrants trying to live up to parents' expectations

Oh, I am excited to read this!! I love reading about children of immigrants - with one foot in their new world, and one foot in the old. Always trying to meet the expectations of their parents - to marry and carry on the traditions. However, Frank Li is a teenager and as we all know, teenagers don't always do the will of their parents.
This reads like a clever novel with a unique take on young love, respect for your elders, and coming-of-age.
