I was immediately drawn to the cover (and the author himself, being married to another brilliant YA author, Nicola Yoon) and had to learn more! The synopsis drew me in, but this first excerpt is phenomenal. I love that David Yoon has immediately drawn me in with his eclectic writing and strong voice via the main character Frank. It sounds like the story is going to be an interesting (and important) mix of light-hearted YA tropes, and discussions about race and wanting to belong. I can't wait to read more about Frank in Frankly In Love!
