I absolutely loved this story. The writing style was easy to follow and made me want to read more. I liked the plot line and felt that it was a very original idea, which I assume is very hard to come up with since there are so many great fantasy series out.
We follow four queens: Toria, Ludia, Archia and Eonia which rule the four quadrants Quadara. Keralie is a pick pocket that comes across a comm disk that shows each of the four queens being murdered. Keralie teams up with an Eonist messenger whom she stole the comm disk from in the hopes of finding the person the disk was to go to so they would be able to find the murderer.
I felt like this was a great debut novel for Astrid Scholte and look forward to reading more from her.
