The world that this author created was easily understood throughout the story. I enjoyed the political aspects of the world as well as the characters that we followed. I enjoyed being able to see the different backgrounds of each queen and being able to see that even though the knew what they needed to do, they still were human with emotions and secrets. The plot twists that happened throughout the end of the story are ones that I did not guess and were very well done. The writing style of the book was also well done with good descriptions of the different things that were happening. The only thing I believe needed a little work was the pacing of the book. At the beginning I thought the story was going on through the same timeline, however once the beginning of a reveal takes place then the timeline switched and it confused me a little. It was kind of explained towards the end but I thought it should have come before? However, the story was enjoyable and one I recommend.
