I loved the twist and turns throughout the novel. I kept thinking I had the plot figured out and then bam it would go in a different direction. I liked that this is a stand alone fantasy. We don't get enough of those. The different points of view made the book interesting. You got to see the world through each queen's eyes and that helped you understand why they ruled the way they did. I liked how there were multiple story lines going on and they were all tied up together at the end. The way it was writing kept you trying to figure out what exactly was going on and how and who killed the queens. I thought I had it figured out about two or three times and the reveal blew me away. I can't wait to pick up more from this author.
