The biggest thing I enjoyed about this book was the setting. Quadara is a fictional national made of four quadrants, and each one had its own unique traits that I really liked. It was cool to see how the Queens rules together and separate as well- with each of their quadrant’s traits and their human traits influencing them. I liked that we got different point of views that allowed us a deeper view into the characters. I honestly didn’t expect the twists at all and I loved that. It’s always enjoyable when a novel actually surprises me with the plot twists! The romance takes a good amount of time to form and come to fruition. I really enjoy that it was immediate “ah true love everything is wonderful and perfect because we just met and fell in love” and cue sparkles.
