I absolutely loved this book. Ms. Scholte has the perfect balance of plot twists and drama.

These sisters are raised knowing that only one of them can be queen. The rest wont make it. This leads to a lot of backstabbing, manipulation, and plotting.

They all seem to remember a time when they were younger, before becoming queen meant anything to them. It's quite endearing because they'll remember how one of them behaved or what they looked like. Now, they've been separated for years, studying different ways of being the best queen and defeating the rest of their sisters.

Some of them fall in love. Some of them fall out of love. They have friends and lives apart from each other. Very good book.
