I was first drawn to this book because of its gorgeous cover. I can never overstate the value of a eye catching cover and this one is a beauty. It has been a long time since a YA book has truely surprised me but Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte took me for quite the ride. I very much enjoyed her unique perspective on the old cat and mouse murder mystery and loved the world she set it in. I found Four Dead Queens to be an intriguing tale with engaging characters. I really enjoyed the Queen's point of views and (not to give anything away) was sad when they didn't make it. If you love a murder mystery that will keep you guessing till the end (with some fantasy thrown in) I would definitely give Four Dead Queens a try.
