Reading the preview of this book was really interesting. I wasn't sure what kind of book it was, but the writing impressed me and drew me in. The characters were interesting and engaging even though you only get to learn a little bit about them in the preview. The world that the characters lived in was really cool, an interesting combination of old and new, but still feeling like it was well balanced. I'd definitely pick this one up and I think my wife would like it as well.
I'd love to read more of this book, so I hope that the rest of it is as good as the preview and that there is maybe a second book in the works as well. The author did a good job of introducing the reader to the world without going into too much detail and slowing down the first part of the story.
