I was so hoping that I would like this book, to even love it, but I made it barely into the third act and it's becoming more and more apparent that I will not be able to finish this book like I wish I could. I'm losing interest fast, and I can't drum up enough of it to keep going until to the end because the main character is definitely not my favorite main character. I enjoy flawed characters, but she's almost too selfish than flawed, and I'm just at my wit's end with her.
Truly, I wish this review were better, more favorable, but it's not. I wanted to read this book because the concept sounded super interesting about four queens who maybe die or maybe don't, but now I think that this book is trying to do too much and tackle too many topics, and then add in a romance that I really don't think needs to be in this book, and it all just comes off as a bit of a mess.
